Thoughts on Today’s Verse
Today, our Bible verse is like a parent telling us the right thing to do. It asks us a big question. Should we do bad things just because we can? The answer is a big "no!"
Imagine you have a big box of toys. Your friend has no toys. You don’t have to share your toys, but sharing is nice. Sharing makes your friend happy and you happy too!
God wants us to do the right thing. Not because we have to, but because it’s good. It is like giving a hug, saying "please," and "thank you." It is being kind to our friends, family, and everyone we meet.
My Prayer
Dear God,
Thank you for loving us. Help us to do good things every day. Help us to share, to be kind, and to be nice to everyone.
We want to be like Jesus, who is very, very good. Please help us to learn and to grow.
We say a big "no" to doing bad things. We say a big "yes" to being good and kind.
Amen.
