Daily Devotional: September 14, 2023 —Psalm 107:9

Today, we are talking about a very special promise from God. In the Bible, it says that God gives good things to hungry and thirsty people.

What does it mean to be hungry and thirsty? It means wanting something very much. Sometimes, we want a big hug, or a yummy snack, or a fun playdate with friends.

God is like a parent who always has the best snacks. He knows just what we need to be happy and feel good.

When we are sad, God can give us joy. When we are scared, God can give us courage. He is always there to fill our hearts with good and happy things, just like a bowl full of your favorite fruits.

Dear God,

Thank you for always being there. Thank you for giving us good things when we are hungry and thirsty.

Please help us remember that when we want something, we can ask You. You are like our best friend who always knows how to make us smile.

Help us to be happy and to share good things with others too.

Thank you, God, for your big love.
