Daily Devotional: October 1, 2023 - Psalm 34:1

This verse feels like having a heart filled with never-ending sunshine, no matter the weather outside. It’s about keeping a song of gratitude always ready to burst forth from our lips, celebrating God’s presence in our lives.

Even when skies are gray, and paths are rocky, we have this beautiful choice to keep praising God. It’s like choosing to see the colors amidst the gray.

Our lips, carrying the melody of God's praise, can be like giving away little sparks of hope to others.

It’s about letting this beautiful habit of praising God become as natural as breathing. Every breath, a thank you; every word, a celebration of God’s love.

Dear Lord,

Each day brings forth a tapestry of experiences, and amidst it all, I want to cultivate a habit of praising You.

Sometimes the words may tumble out with ease, while other times they might feel lodged in a throat tightened by life's challenges.

Yet, it is my heartfelt desire to have your praise always dance upon my lips, be the tune to which my heart beats.

Nourish this desire, dear Lord, and as I step out into today, may the echo of your love ring through my words, my actions, and my thoughts. Thank you for the gift of today, a fresh canvas upon which your praises can be painted.
